In recent years Maldon Salt have expanded their factory equipment to include an automated assembly packing line, making their production line a smooth one location operation.  In 2016 they updated their salt boxes to fit the more stylish but 'homemade' family orientated branding they wanted to get across to customers.

They sourced fully recyclable and biodegradable cardboard to print onto with low migration inks that do not spread to contaminate the pure white salts inside. The salt is sealed in medium duty polythene bags using a heat press before being placed into the boxes. With the company using for the most part local suppliers the travel miles for this are low.
