For many years practices to reduce damage to crops by pests, weeds, fungi and rodents have developed. Now, with advanced flexibility and precision in the boom-sprayers, this is made far easier. The sprayer can be towed or self-propelled, and allows for control of various parameters, such as automatic and manual dosing and control of the valves on the machine. This, combined with electronic GPS devices, means one can calculate the exact area treated according to the detected position, and the sprayer can automatically activate or deactivate to avoid overlapping of an area already treated. The machine also uses an automatic steering system for precision farming increasing work accuracy and safety and reducing the need of various operators.
